How much does it cost per square foot?
This really depends on what you want to build and the finishes you want. Because we have such a wide scope of different types of builds to offer: heavy timber, timber frame, conventional, and any combination in between. It’s hard to give a square foot price until we know what type of build you’re looking for.
Do we handle all the permits for your project?
We do! We also take the construction completely through to turn-key completion. We can also help in other ways too depending on your building plans. For example, if you want to purchase log or heavy timber packages and be your own contractor for a more hands-on approach. We can still help you obtain all necessary permits, as well as other parts of the construction, or we could manage the job for you!
Do you charge for estimates?
This depends on what type of estimate you’re looking for. If you’re looking for a ballpark estimate based on current prices we can provide this for free.
But, if you’re looking for a complete budgeted estimate with line items, we will charge an upfront fee. If we end up building your project this fee can become part of the initial deposit. This fee is non-refundable.
Do you have a force majeure clause?

Once you’ve signed your final contract to begin your build your price is locked in at that price for the entirety of your build; unless there’s a price increase on materials of 5% or more above what the original price was of those materials at signing. If this type of increase happens due to inflation all parties will be made aware and shown proof of that material price increase before any contracted price is adjusted.
There are ways to try and avoid the possibility of these increases due to inflation. For example, if there’s a potential increase in material prices we can see coming due to market trends. We can attempt to pre-purchase those materials before the inflation rises if it’s a practical option based on the current stage of the building process we’re in at that moment.
Change orders are also something that will change the price of your signed contract. Change orders are changes made by the clients after the final contract has been signed. These are changes made by the client that change our scope of work and or finishes that were originally picked at signing. Depending on the change orders this can increase or decrease your contracted price.
